Gateway's Bell already ringing with offers

Playing on a defense that has three coveted seniors in Shayne Hale, Cameron Saddler and Leon Green, as well as fellow junior Corey Brown, Dorian Bell is also making a big name for himself. He has found no trouble in finding a place on Gateway's defense, as he was recently named to the Rivals 100 to watch for 2009.

Bell and his Gateway teammates closed out their preseason practices with a scrimmage against Bethel Park on Friday night. The Gators put up three touchdowns, to Bethel Park's one. Bell plays tight end on offense, but it is at linebacker where he has garnered his reputation. He is being recruited as an athlete.

Bell estimates that close to 50 schools have indicated a written offer after Labor Day weekend. Among some of them are Michigan, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers and Ohio State.
