One of Georgia’s top juniors talks recruiting

Donavan Tate of Cartersville (Ga.) has been mentioned before as one of the best in 2009. Tate is not only one of the best in football, but has been mentioned as a top baseball prospect as well. He is an athlete that is naturally gifted and he is garnering a lot of early attention in both sports. We recently caught up with this talented junior to talk recruiting. Find out what he has to say inside.

["I don't have any offers yet, but I am getting letters from so many schools," said Tate. "I am hearing from most ACC and SEC schools along with Texas, Tulane and some others outside of those conferences. I get a lot of mail every day."

Tate is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete that could play a number of the skill positions on the next level. Right now he playing one for Cartersville like he likely won't play in college.

"I am starting at quarterback this year after playing wide receiver and safety last year. I am playing QB full time and I am not playing defense this year."
