Jack of all trades

Throughout his entire senior season, Nittany Lion verbal commitment Jack Crawford was asked to play an expanded role for Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep.

Tight end, defensive end, slot receiver, goal line back, kick returner. You name it, the 6-foot-6, 255-pound prospect did it all for the Hermits in 2007.

Well, he almost did it all.

Luckily for the Nittany Lions, they aren't bringing in the London import to handle the placekicking duties.

The three-star prospect made sure that he did everything he possibly could to push his team to its best record in a decade.

Crawford was particularly effective as a slot receiver, where he created mismatches against every defender he came up against. His 4.55-speed was too much for linebackers, and his massive frame was a nightmare for defensive backs.
