Three-star LB plans to stay at home
Taurice King is considered one of the top middle linebackers in the country.
But there is a major reason why the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder from Yazoo City, Miss., only has four scholarship offers. King announced early on in the recruiting process that he intends to remain in the Magnolia State for college.
Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss have all offered the three-star standout as has Louisiana Tech.
King entertained several familiar visitors during spring practice over the past few weeks.
"Most of the same schools come but I guess that's because I told everybody I was going to school in Mississippi," King said. "All three of those schools have came by the school for practice and came to the jamboree the other day."
So just how does the No. 11 inside linebacker in the nation feel about the Bulldogs?
"(Mississippi State) is alright," King said. "I haven't talked to anybody from there in a while but they are still looking good though. I do talk to them about everyday over email."
King is being recruited by Melvin Smith and has had talks with defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Carl Torbush.
