Ambles Working On Trimming List

With summer about to enter the home stretch, many high school prospects are getting closer to--if not making a decision--at least trimming their list of potential college choices down to manageable numbers. One of the top receivers in the nation, Georgia's Markeith Ambles falls into that category, and Tennessee could end up figuring prominently in his final decision.

Ambles (6-foot-2, 182 pounds), from McDonough, Ga. is arguably the top-target on the Vols' wide-receiver board, and one of the most hotly recruited skill position players in the South.

With offers from around the nation, Ambles recently started thinning his list out, and hopes to have a firm group of finalists by the time football season starts.

As for what has put Tennessee firmly in contention for him, Ambles pinpointed several factors about the Vols' program that appealed to him.

Rivals.com rates Ambles as a four-star prospect and the No. 7 wide-receiver in the nation.
