Aldridge back on the field and names top three
Whitehouse junior athlete Quincy Aldridge was injured in August during a scrimmage against Carthage. He suffered a grade-two sprain of his MCL and the injury was severe enough that Aldridge missed the first five games of the 2009 season. Although teammate and receiver Trey Metroyer did his best to keep the Wildcats afloat in Aldridge's absence, Whitehouse missed Aldridge's height and speed in the secondary as well as his ability to occasionally contribute on offense.
As a result, the Wildcats not only went through their first five games without a victory, they were giving up nearly 40 points per game in the process. Fortunately, Aldridge returned in time for Whitehouse's first district game of the season against Lindale and ended up with a touchdown pass, an interception return for a touchdown and an interception with 18 seconds left to preserve a 27-22 victory.
Aldridge is receiving interest from Texas A&M, Texas, Miami, LSU, Stanford, Colorado, Houston, TCU, Louisville, SMU, Wisconsin and Colorado State.
