3-Star RB Enjoys his visit to Army

Army had a number of solid prospects visiting this past weekend, and running
back Keith McBride was one of the headliners.  McBride, a three-star recruit out
of Memphis, Tenn., made an official visit on Saturday, and was impressed with
what he saw.  Though he has been sidelined for a portion of the season with a
shoulder injury, McBride is back to full strength and putting up big numbers.
"We are 7-0 and I just had my second game back, had a pretty good game.  I had
194 (rushing) yards and three touchdowns.  I am really looking forward to our
next game."

Freshman cornerback Josh Jackson hosted McBride.  "Josh was great.  He gave
me a lot of great information.  He showed me around, I got to meet a lot of the
players.  It was great hearing about their experience.  After the game, we
toured the campus and he answered a few more of my questions.  On Saturday
night, we met a few more players and watched the Florida-LSU game."

McBride made the trip with his father.  "We got up there Friday, and my dad
and I drove around campus.  Then we went out to eat with Coach (John) Brock,"
explains McBride.

I definitely liked what I saw, I liked how the slotbacks got the ball at the edge, and definitely saw myself fitting in.

Game Day was full of activity for the speedy running back.  "Saturday was a
really busy day.  In the morning, we ate breakfast with some people from
admissions.  We spent a couple of hours with them talking about academics, and
stayed with them until about an hour before the game," starts McBride.  "After
that, we went up to the stadium, met the coaches and watched the players.  Then
we watched the game. After that, we went over to Coach Ellerson's house to eat
and talk with the players.  We got to talk to Coach Ellerson a little bit and
relax, they had some nice food and we got to talk to more of the players that
were there."

McBride was happy with what he saw out of the Black Knights against
Vanderbilt.  "I was really happy for Army, I was happy for the win - especially
in overtime.  I definitely liked what I saw, I liked how the slotbacks got the
ball at the edge, and definitely saw myself fitting in," explains McBride.  "I
liked the feeling being there, it was a great atmosphere."

So is McBride ready to make a decision?  "I like the school, at this point I
am trying to weigh my options and talk to my parents to see what's the best
fit.  But I definitely enjoyed my visit.  I still have Army and Princeton at the
top of my list.  In terms of when I will make my decision, I don't really know
yet.  Probably after the season.  There is no real timeline, it's just when I
tell my parents that I am comfortable enough with where I want to go.  I'm just
going to concentrate on the rest of my season for now."

In terms of the visit meeting McBride's expectations, there is no question.
"It probably exceeded them.  With the way that I was treated and the facilities,
it was just a great time up there."

We will continue to follow Keith McBride's progress in is 2009 senior season,
and stay close as he decides on where he will play ball at the next level.
