Fast rising prospect lands No. 1

Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw has had one of the toughest out of conference schedules, if not the toughest, in the Los Angeles City Section and they came out of it unscathed. The Cougars are a perfect 6-0 and have knocked off the likes of CIF powers, Lakewood, Calif., and Norco, Calif.

The fine play of defensive back/linebacker Gregory Ducre (5-11, 175, 4.46) is one of the reasons why Crenshaw has been so successful.

The scouting report on Ducre is he is very speedy. He is a football player with a track guy's speed. He's very flexible, agile and has quick feet. He has a bird dog's nose for the football and is always around the ball. He also has outstanding closing speed.

On the recruiting trail, Ducre picked up his first offer from Arizona State. He is getting looks from Nebraska, Idaho, San Jose State and Washington.
