Chad Lindsay
Position: Offensive guard.
Rivals.com Position Ranking: 41st-ranked offensive guard.
Commitment Date: 11/6/2009.
Recruited By: Bo Davis.

Present Height and Weight?: "I'm at 6-foot-3, 285 pounds right now. I've been working out a lot and I really want to show up in good condition when I get to Tuscaloosa."

On his future jersey number at Alabama: "I don't really care that much about my number, as long as it's in the 70s."

On his senior season at The Woodlands High School (TX): "It was a really special season for us and I was really happy to be a part of it. We went through the regular season undefeated and won our district for the first time since 2003, which was just really huge for our school."

On what he likes to do away from the field: "I really never had time to get into any other activities or really involved hobbies or anything like that so I mostly just spend some time with my friends and watch other football games on TV. I'm also a big fan of The Office and Two and a Half Men."

On his future roommates at Alabama: "I'm pretty sure I'll be rooming with Cade Foster and Austin Shepherd. I know both of them pretty well by now and I think we will get along pretty well."

On kicker commit and future roommate Cade Foster: "For a kicker, he's huge. He's the biggest kicker I've ever seen. There's no way you'd know he's the kicker by looking at him. He can definitely hold his own with the big guys on the team and I think he'll earn a lot of respect from the rest of the team when they see him in the weight room."

On what he plans to study at UA: "I know I want to go through the business school program. I know it's a really strong program at Alabama, one of the best in the country."

On what made him decide to commit to Alabama: "I already knew it was a great program in pretty much all aspects from the coaches to the facilities to the fanbase but it was probably academics that put Alabama over the top for me. The more I learned about what they had to offer academically, the more I knew it was the right place for me to be."

On his family's connections to another SEC school: "I grew up not really rooting for any school but one whole side of my family are die-hard LSU fans. It's going to be really interesting to see what kind of stuff I hear from them the week of that game."

On his expectations for his freshman season: "Obviously, everybody wants to come in and play right away and I think the coaches want us to take that approach, to really believe in ourselves and compete as hard as we can for a starting job. Coming in for the spring is something that was really important to me because it gives me a leg up in terms of learning what I need to learn in order to make myself the best possible competitor in practice everyday. I want to show the coaches that I have what it takes to contribute and help this team right away."
