Bruins pledge hears beat of a different drummer

Three-star defensive back/wide receiver Tevin McDonald (5-11, 180, 4.5) from Fresno (Calif.) Edison will buck the family trend. His father played at USC and his older brother is a freshman at USC. Even though USC showed only lukewarm attention to the youngest McDonald, he was already hearing the beat of a different drummer and had his eye on Westwood.

McDonald was one of three Edison players who visited officially over the weekend.

"My trip to UCLA was really good," McDonald said. "I hung out with Courtney Viney, Sheldon Price and another guy who was really cool was Isaiah Bowens. I think he's (Bowens) is going to be really good.
