Kirksey recaps official visit

As an Iowa commit, linebacker Christian Kirksey has been to Iowa City several times before, but his official visit this past weekend gave him an even deeper look into the Hawkeye football program. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Kirksey had a chance to talk with the coaches about his future and learn more about the team and the school. The St. Louis native talks about the visit and much more.

Q: How did it all go this past weekend?

Q: What were some of the highlights for you?

KIRKSEY: Just hanging out with the players. They showed me around the city and everything. I got to talk to different people and it was a good experience.

Q: Did you get to see more of the school too?

KIRKSEY: Yeah, I took a tour around campus, went to the learning center, and saw where my classes are going to be at and everything.

Q: Do you know what you want to major in at this point?

KIRKSEY: I'm thinking of majoring in sports management.

Q: What did the coaches say about your position next year?
