Alabama LB commits to Vols

It's been a hectic close to the 2010 recruiting efforts for Tennessee, and that remains the case on the eve of national signing day. The Vols added another commitment on Tuesday evening, picking up a verbal pledge from linebacker Raiques Crump from Adamsville, Ala.

Crump (6-foot-1, 210 pounds) is a classic example of that old recruiting staple 'The Sleeper' and the Vols hope they've found a diamond-in-the-rough late in the game.

After drawing interest from several SEC schools Crump had received no firm offers with Signing Day approaching. With a real need for linebackers, he popped up on Tennessee's radar after a couple of prospects opened up January looking elsewhere.
