Abron takes in A&M, names favorites

Seagoville forward Devonta Abron has been a fast rising prospect across the nation, jumping into the 2011 Rivals150 at No. 64 on the heels of a junior season in which Abron led the D/FW Metorplex 4A in scoring with 24.8 points per game and added 13.2 rebounds per game.

Seagoville's season, however, ended with a heartbreaking first round loss to No. 5 Dallas Lincoln, 60-58, in which Abron scored 13 points.

Little, however, has been known about Abron's recruitment as he moves towards the AAU season in which he'll be playing for the Dallas Mustangs. The soft-spoken 6-foot-7, 200-pound forward who can play inside or out hasn't talked much to the media about his recruitment, and it looks like it might be close to over as Abron plans to make a decision as early as April.

The four-star prospect has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Arkansas, Alabama and FIU with interest from Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Marquette and West Virginia.
