  • TE Jake Duzey of Troy Athens High School, Michigan

An interesting comparison between Duzey and Brennen Beyer of Plymouth High School:

    Duzey:
    -HT: 6'4
    -WT: 219
    -40: 4.49
    -Vert: 33 inches
    -Shuttle: 4.28
    -Bench Press: 185x12
    -Reach: 129 inches

    Beyer:
    -HT: 6'4.5
    -WT: 221
    -40: 4.50
    -Vert: 33 inches
    -Shuttle: 4.25
    -Bench Press: 225x8
    -Reach: 126 inches

The closeness is scary. The only real difference is the fact that Beyer has a slightly better bench press, but that could have something to do with the fact that Duzey has longer arms. Beyer, who projects as a DE, has seen his offer list expand greatly this spring. Duzey, who still has offers from CMU and WMU, is making the rounds this coming week.

Duzey informed SpartanMag.com that will be at Northwestern today. He will the hit Iowa, Purdue and Michigan State next week. Don't be surprised if his offer list expands as well. Both Duzey and Beyer are outstanding prospects.

  • DB Kenny Mullen of Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Mullen is currently making the rounds stopping into several Big Ten schools. He was recently at Iowa and he informed SpartanMag.com that next week he will be in East Lansing to check out the Spartan program in person. Mullen already has a scholarship offer from Purdue and Michigan State is closely evaluating him. Mullen is very familiar with the Michigan State program and he does plan on attending a day of camp this summer as well.

  • QB Alex Niznak of Ithaca High School, Michigan

The athletic quarterback prospect just picked up his second scholarship offer, the Western Michigan Broncos. The offer is significant from a quarterback perspective for two reasons: First, is the fact that Coach Cubit is known for being very selective about his QB prospects and he stresses the passing game first. Second, is the fact that Western Michigan actually does not offer a lot of prospects in-state. The Broncos have focused on Florida talent under Coach Cubit.

  • DB Valdez Showers of Madison Heights Madison High School

The speedy prospect that was offered by the Spartan last week just picked up another BCS offer; the Cincinnati Bearcats have no joined the mix. Showers has seven offers in all.
