Leader emerging for Sampson
One of the emerging combo forwards on the circuit is Jakarr Sampson. Sampson exploded last July with his play for the King James Shooting Stars. He continued that strong play during his junior year, and has significant recruiting attention now, but one school is beginning to emerge as his leader.
At 6-foot-7 and around 200 pounds, Sampson has learned to adjust to playing on the wing after beginning his high school career as someone who played in the post. Playing at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Sampson has turned up his game recently despite having to play out of position at times.
