Bruin target visits UCLA

Not only is George Atkinson III (6-2, 194, 4.4) from Livermore (Calif.) Granada one of the best football players in the Golden State, but he's one of the best sprinters, too. He recently took the 100 in the Arcadia Invitational and was second in the 200.

"It was good," Atkinson said. "I had an okay start in the 100, but I finished strong."

Atkinson beat De'Anthony Thomas from Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw in the 100, but the talented Crenshaw player didn't go away without a victory.

"I got him (Thomas) in the 100, but he got me on the 200," Atkinson said. "I didn't really see him because I was in lane eight and he was all the way in lane four.

"I thought I was in the lead for a minute because I didn't see him," Atkinson said. "I'll get him next time though."
