Poole adds ninth offer

Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods linebacker Antonio Poole is on his way to double digit scholarship offers. One new program that came in and added to his list was Syracuse University.

"Syracuse offered me about a month ago. I thought it was good because I really like Syracuse basketball and that is like my favorite basketball team."

There is one other sport at Syracuse that Poole knows a little bit about.

"I know they also have a very good lacrosse team, but I have not had much of a chance yet to follow up with their football team."

What Poole does know is the position the Orange would like to see him play if he ends up at Syracuse.

"They are looking for me to play outside linebacker, well just linebacker period," Poole said. "I have been told I play tough, physical, and that I am an athletic guy."

Poole, 6-foot-2, 210 pounds would like to visit Syracuse in the future, but he needs to get the logistics figured out before he takes the long trip. On the other hand a few schools that are close to home for Poole received visits in the last couple of weeks.

He spoke quickly about each school.

"Last week I went to Purdue, the week before that I want to Cincinnati, and Ohio State."

Purdue: "It was ok I liked the facilities and stuff. The coaches I liked."

Cincinnati: "I liked that I felt comfortable down there and they are a rising program and that they want to win a National Championship."

Ohio State: "The athletic facilities look real good down there, it was nice."

A time frame for a decision has not been set as Poole is not exactly sure when he will pick a school.

"I am not really sure. Right when I find a school that fits then I will commit."
