West Point D-lineman likes the Dogs
Last season Vontarrius Dora helped lead West Point to a Class 5A State Championship lining up alongside Mississippi State signee Curtis Virges at defensive tackle.
It appears also that the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder will be following in his footsteps to the college level as several schools are taking notice this spring.
"Recruiting is going pretty good," Dora said. "I've got a couple of schools looking for me. I want to go to State though but I don't know yet. I've been getting letters from like Southern Miss, Oregon, LSU and all kinds of colleges."
Dora does not have an official scholarship yet but the Bulldogs have verbally offer him.
"I was visiting them one day with Curtis to watch one of their practices," Dora said. "I had been going up there on some occasions and they said they had been watching film on me. He told me that they wanted to offer me and asked if I would take it and I said 'yeah, I'll take it'."
Dora, who is coached by a pair of former Bulldog players in Casey Welch and Brett Morgan, enjoyed what he saw at State's spring practice.
