Bulldogs after another Whitehaven LB

Whitehaven High School in Memphis, Tenn., sported one of the best linebacking corps in the Southeast last season with Ferlando Bohanna, Charles Harris and Delvin Lane laying the licks in the middle of the defense.

Bohanna went on to sign with Mississippi State and it looks like the Bulldogs are now after his teammates as well. Harris picked up his first scholarship offer earlier this week but it will likely not be his last.

"Coach (Manny) Diaz came up to one of my practices this spring and I believe that was one of my better practices," Lane said. "Hopefully soon I'll be able to get an offer soon from Mississippi State."

Harris' first offer came from hometown Memphis after attending the Tigers camp. The 6-foot-1, 201-pounder is also hearing from Arkansas, Duke, Louisville and Ole Miss as well.

Harris remains tight his former teammate Bohanna, who enrolled at MSU this week. He plans on making the trip down to Starkville this fall to watch him play.

"Me and Ferlando are extremely close," Lane said. "We talk all the time. I'm planning on going there some this season to see a couple of his games."

Harris plans on attending camp at Southern Miss as well this summer.
