Porter camps for La. Tech

Tyler Porter took in the Louisiana Tech day camp in Baton Rouge on Thursday and came away very impressed with defensive line coach Stan Eggen.

"I really loved working with him [Eggen]. He's a real high energy type of guy so it would always keep me on the edge and also feel that if I would be up there [Louisiana Tech] he would make me the best defensive lineman I could be because he pushed me really hard and taught me a lot of essential tools that makes a defensive lineman great."

Even though he came away very impressed, if Tech would offer tomorrow he would not commit because he wants to show the respect all the other schools recruiting him are showing him. Some of the other schools recruiting Porter are LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Tulsa. He holds offers from three in-state FCS schools, McNeese State, Southeastern Louisiana, and Southern University.

Porter measures in at 6 feet tall and 310 pounds. Porter plans on working on his flexibility in his hips which will allow him to get around blockers easier.
