Bruins add instant help along the line

Losing Xavier Su'a Filo to his mission was tough on UCLA, but somewhat expected. Then when UCLA lost the services of redshirt freshman offensive lineman, Nik Abele, suddenly the Bruins found themselves lacking depth along the offensive front. The Bruins have been very proactive addressing this issue and help from the junior college ranks are on the way.

The Bruins have landed the services of offensive guard, Casey Griffiths (6-5, 285) from American River College in Sacramento, Calif.

American River College head coach, Jerry Haflich talks about his star player.

"Casey's biggest strongpoint is he's just a very sharp young man," Haflich said. "He's intelligent football wise and he's a solid student.
