Turner takes it slow

North Miami Beach defensive end Travis Turner has received a few scholarships already, but he has not really started his recruiting process yet.

"I am not really focused on recruiting yet. I am just making sure I get done what I have to get done this summer."

Turner, 6-foot-4, 240 pounds holds offers from Syracuse, South Florida, Central Florida, and Western Michigan. Since he has not looked into schools much he can't speak about them. When he was asked about Syracuse however he talked about the position they are looking for him to play as well as who is recruiting him.

"Coach [Scott] Shafer is recruiting me for a," Turner said. "They are looking for me to play defensive end. I don't know how to quit when I am on the field."

Since the Florida prospect has not started looking at his schools yet he has no favorites or time table for a decision.

"I am still looking at everybody. I am looking at everybody that is looking at me. I will be taking my visits after the season."
