Dora takes in three SEC camps

Vontarrius Dora has spent most of his summer rehabbing from spring shoulder surgery.

But the 6-foot-4, 230-pound defensive end from West Point, Miss., is making up for lost time lately attending three camps in only a matter of days. Dora visited Ole Miss, Alabama and Mississippi State and had good reviews from all three even if he is still not at 100-percent yet.

"(Recruiting has) been going really good even though I'm hurt," Dora said. "I went to Big Dawg Camp (at MSU), I went over to Alabama's camp last week and to Ole Miss' camp the week before that. They are all liking me and want to get film on me. I believe they will offer me during the season after they see me play a couple of my games."

Dora was one of the top defensive line prospects on hand at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville Friday night. He also visited during MSU's June camp sessions even though he was unable to participate at the time.

"I really liked the players, the coaches and the atmosphere," Dora said. "It was great and the people there are nice. Coach (Chris) Wilson is a real good coach. I want to fit into their defense. It's different over there and I had to try to get into a comfort zone with their defense and I think I did real well."

Dora has a verbal offer from the Bulldogs and wanted to take them up on it after his teammate Justin Cox committed on Saturday. Dora will have two other teammates join the State roster this year in Michael Carr and Curtis Virges.
