Chicago DE takes a closer look at Spartans
Chicago (Ill.) Curie three-star defensive end James Adeyanju added an offer from Michigan State at the beginning of the summer and he visited the Spartans shortly after receiving that offer.
Since then, Adeyanju (6-2, 250) has kept in regular contact with the Spartans through his primary recruiter, offensive line coach Dan Roushar, and so far he's been impressed with what MSU has to offer.
"Coach Roushar sent me an email about three days ago. I called him but I think he's busy right now. I talk to him I think once every two weeks," Adeyanju shared of his latest contact with the Spartans. "The last time he was talking about my visit and how it went, and pretty much we were talking about regular stuff, about football and about what I was doing that day, that's about it."
Adeyanju said he stopped in East Lansing about a month ago.
"I liked the campus, it was nice. I got to talk to the coaches, the head coach (Mark Dantonio) and the defensive coordinator (Pat Narduzzi) and I saw some players," Adeyanju said. "I know I saw (freshman linebacker) William Gholston and some other players, I said what's up to them. And then Coach Roushar took me and my dad around pretty much the whole campus, let us go in the stadium, let us go on the field. We just talked and that's about it."
