Walters hopes to make most of sixth year

BOULDER, Colo. - Tight end Luke Walters earned a degree in Geography from CU last December. But he felt like he had some unfinished business in Boulder. After transferring to CU from New Mexico in 2007, injuries and illness kept him from seeing the field. The Denver native broke his left leg twice and last fall he suffered a collapsed lung and contracted the swing flu virus. Walters was granted a sixth-year of eligibility in January. He hopes to make the most of it.
