Commitment on the horizon?
Rob Trudo has seen his recruitment become very hectic over the last few months, but now as he has started taking visits it has calmed down a little. This past weekend he was at Syracuse and had a great visit.
"I loved the visit, it was great. All I can say is it was great I don't know any other way to describe it."
Trudo, 6-foot-5, 262 pounds has been on the Syracuse campus before, but this time was a little different. On this visit he was able to see some other items and two of those really stuck out for him.
"My favorite parts of the trip were between hanging out with the players and going to see the college of engineering. Those two things were real awesome."
On his other trips to Syracuse he was not able to hang around the football players as much. This time when he was able to he was very surprised about how close everybody was.
"The way the freshman and the sophomores are with each other and the type of guys they are. They all hang out with each other and I didn't know that when I went up the first time. When I came back again and saw that it was a good thing," Trudo said. "I talked to the players and I could relate with them a lot. It seemed like I had a lot in common with those guys. Those guys were great."
While Trudo was visiting with the current Orange football players they told him about the process they are going through with Coach Marrone.
"They were upset after the loss, but they kept talking about it being a process. They are bringing in guys that believe in what Coach Marrone is trying to do."
Even though the game did not turn out the way Syracuse had hoped Trudo enjoyed his time in the Carrier Dome.
"You could feel the energy, there was a lot of people there it was nice. I couldn't hear myself for awhile."
After that visit Trudo seemed to be very high on the Orange. When asked what he thought about the Orange he had a very quick response.
"I will give you a call on Tuesday and let you know."
