CMU falls to Temple in home opener

Central Michigan (2-3) opens their brand new arena (McGuirk Arena) tonight against the Temple Owls (3-2).

* The Chippewas broke a three-game losing streak last Wednesday at Illinois-Chicago, defeating the Flames 62-52. Trey Zeigler came off the bench for the first time in five games and led the Chippewas with 17 points while adding seven rebounds. Senior William McClure recorded his first career double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds.

* The Temple Owls fell out of the top-25 this week after going 1-2 at the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla., last weekend. The Owls are coming off a 54-51 loss at the hands of the Texas A&M Aggies.
