Georgia LB Likes 3

For several years, Middle Tennessee has stolen stars from the talent-rich state of Georgia and this year should be no different. As signing day approaches, the Blue Raiders remain in the picture for some of Georgia's best athletes and one Georgia linebacker will make the trip to Murfreesboro in the coming weeks to see what Middle Tennessee has to offer.

In February, McEachern (GA) linebacker Jefferson Ashiru received an offer from Ole Miss. In the following months, offers from Air Force, Connecticut, Duke, Memphis, Mississippi State, and Middle Tennessee arrived in the mail. As summer turned to fall, one by one school began to waver in their interest until three remained Air Force, Connecticut, and Middle Tennessee. For their efforts, Ashiru will reward each school with an official visit over the next three weeks.

Even though several schools lost contact with him, Ashiru remained positive about the recruiting experience, his official visits, and making a decision. When asked about what would be the deciding factor, Ashiru told GoMiddle.com, "I'm looking for a good fit and compete for a national championship. Location doesn't matter to me."
