Calhoun waiting on MSU offer
Coming from a small school like Morton Taveze Calhoun did not necessarily get as much exposure as some of the other top recruits in a deep skill class in Mississippi.
But the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder has been waiting throughout the recruiting process and it appears that patience is finally starting to payoff. Mississippi State could be on the verge of ending Calhoun's decision process.
While the Bulldogs have yet to offer the wide receiver/ defensive back standout they are bringing him in on an official visit this weekend which he is hoping will turn into a scholarship.
"I'm really looking forward to it," Calhoun said. "I really want to go check out their academics and basically just have a good time. I'm hoping they are going to offer me a scholarship while I'm there."
Calhoun stated that if MSU did indeed offer him that he would take them up on their deal immediately.
The three-star prospect holds offers from Jackson State and Delta State. He also held a scholarship from Louisiana-Lafayette but it was recently pulled due to the Rajin' Cajuns class filling up.
Throughout the process, Calhoun has appreciated the honesty from the Bulldogs coaching staff.
