Star LB talks BC visit
The Villages (Fla.) standout linebacker Noor Davis has quickly become one of the most sought after recruits in the country. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound linebacker who maintains a 4.3 GPA, has everything you look for in a linebacker. It is not surprising that Davis has amassed 22 scholarships from almost every top school in the country. Florida, Notre Dame, USC, Florida State, Ohio State and Oklahoma are just a few of the top schools Boston College will have to battle against to bring in Davis.
The Florida native has been visiting many schools over the past month and he recently took a visit to Boston College.
"The visit was great. The facilities are outstanding, and it is a great academic school. The bubble on the game field was pretty neat," said Davis. "I had a great meeting with all the coaches, and I got a chance to talk to Coach Spaz and the athletic director."
What was the coaches overall message to the top linebacker?
"Their message was that they feel I can make a major impact on their program and they would really like to have me there," said Davis.
Any favorites for the highly rated outside linebacker to this point?
"I am going to narrow the schools down to a five. Right now only two schools have made my top 5, Florida and Notre Dame," said Davis. "There are still three other schools in the running. Those top 5 schools will be the schools I will look at and be taking my official visits to."
Are the Eagles still a school in the running?
"Yes sir, they have great academics. My family and I are very big on academics," said Davis. "They also have a great program and great history."
Davis says academics are the most important thing to him and he also looks for a school with a good location, successful team, and a team that can utilize him at linebacker.
Davis is spending his off-season playing basketball and baseball, and plans to narrow down his long list of schools down to five over the summer.
