Hawks land second commit
The Iowa Hawkeyes have landed their second commitment in the Class of 2012. Ohio native Cameron Wilson, a 6-foot-2, 193-pound wide receiver, made the call to the Iowa coaching staff early this morning. Wilson's father, Kenny, confirmed the news to HawkeyeReport.com a short while ago.
"Cameron called all of the coaches that were recruiting him this morning and informed them that he's going to Iowa," said Kenny Wilson. "He's going to be a Hawkeye."
After an impressive junior year, Wilson picked up scholarship offers from the likes of Iowa, Illinois, Boston College, Purdue, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, and South Florida, among others.
Last season, Wilson caught 77 passes for 1,075 yards and eight touchdowns, earning all-state honors at Dublin's Jerome High School.
