3-star, Myers, likes Bulldogs
FRIENDSWOOD, TX.-Sonny Dykes and his staff love their high-powered offensive attack.
Now they need some big horses up front to protect the skill players to accomplish that.
They hope Seaver Myers may fit that build.
"Lots of stuff is happening right now," Myers said. "I'm hearing from a lot of schools and they are calling a whole lot right now. It can be a little overwhelming but it is pretty exciting as well."
The 6-6, 290-pound offensive tackle out of Friendswood High School is a three-star prospect according to the latest Rivals.com rankings. Rated as the 64th-best overall offensive tackle in the country, Myers has scholarship offers on the table from many schools including Louisiana Tech.
"Right now I am just planning trips to summer camps at the various schools that are interested in me," Myers said. "So far I have been to the camp at the University of Texas. I am also trying to put together a trip to Arkansas. I want to see what they are all about. I want to go camp there as well."
With his most recent scholarship offer coming from the Bulldogs, Myers said he was excited to be extended the offer and hopes to learn more about the Ruston campus and the direction of the La. Tech program.
"Of course," Myers said. "It's a nice school (Tech) and they like me enough to have offered me, so that's good enough for me. Right now everything is really just up in the air for me. I have no specific rankings or anything like that.
"I'm looking to make my decision sometime around December. After I take all my visits to the schools I will then sit down and make the important decision known."
