Backfield steps up
While most of the focus has centered on West Virginia's passing attack in the 70-33 Orange Bowl win over Clemson, the Mountaineers had productive games out of both of their primary ball carriers.
Starting running back Dustin Garrison was forced to miss the game due to a non-contact injury to his knee in practice, and the workload fell onto junior Shawne Alston and true freshman Andrew Buie.
