Experience, youth make up 2012 safeties

West Virginia's safeties will undoubtedly be tested this fall as the Mountaineers transition to the pass-happy Big 12 Conference. And the group has a nice mix of both experience and young playmaking talent to handle the task.

The second leading tackler from a season ago, redshirt junior Darwin Cook, returns to man the strong safety position after finishing his first season as a starter with 85 stops, two interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries including the iconic 99-yard return for a touchdown in the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl.
