The University of Arkansas fall semester started Monday, and with fall camp over the football team gathered on the new practice fields on the south side of the Walker Pavilion for the first time.

Arkansas is coming off the Fan Day Scrimmage to wrap fall camp. The offense started off strong going for five touchdowns in-a-row, before the defense responded and ended up stopping the offense on 11 of the final 16 possessions. Not good enough, according to Razorback defensive ends and special teams coach Steve Caldwell.


"We got better defensively as the [scrimmage] went on. We were happy with that. We were not happy with the way we started," Caldwell said. "Some of the young kids grew and got to be better players. You look at the young freshman running back that really stepped up Saturday night, and that's what we're looking for in camp."
