2014 Offensive Linemen captures Army offer

It was only last week that Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton High School center Bryce Holland expressed his confidence that the Army Black Knights would extend an offer to him.

Well, the 6-foot-3, 260 pound 2014 prospect was on point, as he rehashed that moment with GoBlackKnights.com.

"Yeah, I was just offered by Army today ... early today around noon time," said the excited Holland. "Coach Guyader (Andy) called me. He started out by asking me how the game against Basha went and then he ask me what I thought Corona was like.

"He then told me that he and the head coach, Rich Ellerson sat down and watched my film. They talked about and they would like to extend an offer to me."

Holland was not bashful to express both his excitement surrounding his offer and interest in the Army Black Knights. "I was extremely happy," he adds. "I mean it's a great feeling and I was just very happy. After that (offer), I texted my dad and my mom. My mom was extremely happy and my dad seem like he had a huge weigh lifted off his shoulders it seems like."

So what the next steps for Holland relative to Army? "I'm just really excited to see where things go and I'm planning on ... well possibly taking an unofficial up there during the summer towards the end of the season when it's over," states the offensive linemen, who could join current teammate and 3-star prospect Patrick Joseph, who is a 2013 Army commit.

"He was ecstatic and gave me a great big bear hug in the locker room," said Holland, when speaking of his 6-foot-3, 285 pound teammate.

Hamilton raised their record to 7-2, as that found themselves in a tight contest versus Basha. "We came out there and played hard and messed up a couple of times, but got back on track and brought back in the 4th quarter," declared Holland. "We came up with two big scores and won the game (31-24)."

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to follow Holland's recruiting throughout the balance of the 2012 season, as well as his senior campaign.
