Mississippi State is hoping to end a three-game losing skid tonight.
But to stop that negative streak the Bulldogs will have to do against No. 7 Florida. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
After beginning conference play 2-0, MSU has lost their last three games for their second three-game slide of the season. Overall the Bulldogs are 7-10 on the year and 0-1 against ranked opponents.
Florida leads the overall series 58-49 although the Bulldogs hold a 33-19 edge in games played in Starkville. State has won four of the last six games against the Gators and are looking for their third straight win against them inside Humphrey Coliseum.
Florida claimed last season's matchup 69-57 in Gainesville behind Bradley Beal's 19 points. Arnett Moultrie and Dee Bost led the Bulldogs in that contest with 12 points with Moultrie grabbing 13 rebounds as well.
Mississippi State is coming off a 96-70 loss to Arkansas in Fayetteville Wednesday night. The Bulldogs turned the ball over a season-high 29 times and were led in scoring by freshman wing Fred Thomas is a career-high 17 points.
