Boyle bounces back
Class of 2015 quarterback Ryan Boyle saw his sophomore year of football end just five games into the season last fall after suffering a torn ACL in West Des Moines Dowling's game against Urbandale. Since then, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Boyle has been hard at work rehabbing his knee as he looks to bounce back strong and return to form his junior year.
"Health wise, I'm about 100% now," said Boyle. "I just have to keep building the muscle around my knee and in my right leg. I'm in track right now and I've got my forty down to 4.6, which is where it was before, so I've just got to keeping building my confidence so I can plant on that leg and not be timid or anything like that, and just play the game like I used to."
Boyle, who will be participating in the Rivals Camp in Chicago this weekend, was off to quite a start before the injury, completing 50 of 71 pass attempts for 709 yards and six touchdowns and rushing for 233 yards and one score on the ground as well.
