Appleman making moves

Once the school year is over, offensive lineman Jacob Appleman is moving with his family from Mishawaka, Indiana to Rock Island, Illinois. There, the 6-foot-4, 290-pounder will be attending Alleman High School his senior. Appleman is also making some moves on the recruiting scene this spring as he continues to hear from more colleges including the Iowa Hawkeyes recently.

"I was at Iowa's spring game and I also went up there for practice the week before as well," said Appleman. "Right now, they have basically said they like my size and physicality and just like some other colleges, they just want to see me come to their camp so they can work with me in person to see how coachable I am and how well I move around."

Appleman, who currently attends Marian High School in Mishawaka, has received similar feedback from the coaching staff at Purdue and will be camping at both Big Ten schools this summer.
