Missouri TE has interest
After attending Iowa's camp earlier this month, Missouri tight end Brinkley Jolly was invited back to Iowa City for the Hawkeyes' barbecue at Kinnick Stadium this weekend. The event gave the 6-foot-5, 230-pound Jolly a chance to see more of the campus at the University of Iowa and get a better feel for the Hawkeye football program.
"I visited the campus, met with the coaches, met with the players, and just kind of toured everything," said Jolly. "They showed us the different types of stuff they do with the strength and conditioning coach and all of that too."
A second team all-conference selection at Liberty North High School last season, Jolly is starting to come into his own on the football field. Also a standout basketball player, he is receiving college interest on the hardwood as well, and feels like the two sports go hand in hand at times.
"Well, for me, I feel that playing basketball really helps at tight end because they want a guy that's athletic and can move but is still strong at the same time," Jolly said. "I feel like I can do that. I can block and get out and run routes too."
