Huskers look to reload at kicker and punter
When you look at Nebraska's kicker and punter history over the last 20 years the pattern continues to be the same.
Year after year the Huskers will put kickers and punters in the NFL and immediately a new star emerges. After Kris Brown it was Josh Brown at kicker in 1999. After Kyle Larson graduated in 2003 Sam Koch stepped in at punter. When Alex Henery went on to the NFL after the 2010 season Brett Maher became an All-Big Ten punter and kicker in both 2011 and 2012.
With Maher gone, NU must find both a starting kicker and punter this August, along with a new long snapper and holder.
Through three days of fall camp head coach Bo Pelini already likes what he's seen from Maher's potential replacements.
