Hesse gets positive feedback
Class of 2014 linebacker Parker Hesse from Waukon has seen his recruiting take off this summer as he has picked up two offers along with some bigger school interest as well. One of those schools showing interest is the Iowa Hawkeyes, who had Hesse on campus Sunday for an unofficial visit. We caught up with him for a complete update.
Q: How was your visit to Iowa?
HESSE: I think Iowa went very well today. I got a lot of positive feedback and I was able to talk to a lot of coaches and a couple players. There are still no offers but things look good.
Q: What did they say regarding your recruiting situation with them?
HESSE: They said they have yet to hear back from a couple of guys that they have offered already. They are going to follow me and pursue me into my senior year.
Q: How was it getting to know the coaches there better?
HESSE: I think it was great. Every time I go to Iowa, I feel more comfortable. I talked to pretty much the whole staff at times and got a better feel for the program and the school.
Q: What did you do while you were in Iowa City?
HESSE: We came down and ate then talked with the coaches. We were given a presentation on being a student athlete at Iowa and their strength program by Chris Doyle. Then we spent some time in position meetings and watched film. Then we went down to the field and watched practice.
Q: What was the highlight of your trip?
HESSE: It was just the pride that all the coaches take into their program. Everyone is putting out the same vibe which is apparent to anyone talking a visit or seeing the school for the first time.
