Defense inspired to dominate

Jameis Winston is again leading most of the headlines following Florida State's 63-0 dismantling of Maryland on Saturday. But in the eyes of many the bigger story was the dominating effort turned in by a defense that was thought to be the Seminoles' weak link.

Maryland entered Saturday's game with one of the ACC's top offenses, at least statistically. In fact, through their first four games the Terrapins ranked second in total offense, second in passing efficiency and fourth in rushing.

Those rankings will take a nose dive after what happened in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday.
