One more step

AUBURN | The Tigers' win against Florida Atlantic on Saturday never was in jeopardy and the scoreboard tells a story of domination: 45-10.


Yet something didn't seem right about it.


The fact that quarterback Nick Marshall left the game after a second-quarter sack, his throwing shoulder an obvious culprit, was a disturbing footnote. And the Auburn defense just didn't seem at full force, making more mental errors than one would expect against a team so physically overmatched.


A win is a win. Still, if you're into degrees of success this one wasn't exactly golden.
