Ducks land 5* PG

The Oregon Ducks scored big on the basketball recruiting front Wednesday when JaQuan Lyle pulled the trigger in favor of Dana Altman's team.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound combo guard averaged 27 points, 13.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists during the 2012-13 season after transferring to basketball powerhouse Huntington Prep (West Virginia) for his senior year. Bosse finished with a 19-6 record and a berth in the Class 3A regional.

His three finalists were Memphis, Oregon and Oklahoma State, although he eliminated OSU earlier in the week.

Lyle is ranked as the No. 22 player in the nation along with a five-star rating. He joins four other athletes in Oregon's class of 2014: SF Dwayne Benjamin, PG Casey Benson, PF/C Michael Chandler and PF Ray Kasongo.
