Charlotte lineman visits Duke

The 2005 season was a great one for Charlotte, N.C., Catholic offensive lineman Henry Lawson. The 6-foot-3, 275 pounder got to be part of a 16-0 state championship squad.

As he prepares for his senior season, he's started the process of evaluating potential college destinations. He's visited all four the in state ACC schools, including a trip to Duke earlier this week to watch the Blue Devils go through a spring workout.

"I liked it (at Duke)," Lawson said. "It was a good practice. They have a new offensive line coach and I followed him around all day. They watched video of their practices and talked about schemes. They were talking about a lot of pass blocking. We don't do much pass blocking (at Catholic), but it was very interesting to see."

Lawson has also seen Wake Forest, North Carolina, and NC State. He says he gets the most mail right now from the Demon Deacons.
