2007 OL Elliott leaves Virginia impressed

East Meadow, N.Y., offensive tackle John Elliott has listed Virginia as one of his top schools since receiving a scholarship offer as a junior.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-4, 282-pound Elliott had a chance to visit UVa for the first time and he came away impressed.

"Virginia moved way up on my list after having a chance to visit," Elliott said.

"I was impressed with the number of recruits and fans that were there. I was also impressed with how Virginia practiced. It looked like a mid-season practice to me."

Elliott is not ready to make a decision in the foreseeable future.

"I really don't have a time frame for my decision," Elliott said. "I am just gathering information on all of the schools that have offered me and really looking at all of my options. When the time is right, I will know it."

"I am visiting West Virginia, Boston College and Penn State in the next 10 days. It is going to be hectic."
