Class of 2007: Florida running back Xavier Stinson

A Florida running back that will surely attract a lot of attention the season is Xavier Stinson (5-9, 215) from Chaminade-Madonna. Last fall he was a two-way starter for the Lions and helped them to the Florida state 2A championship with an 11-2 record.

Xavier Stinson was a first team all-state selection by the Florida Football Writers Association as a linebacker but Chaminade-Madonna coach Mark Guandolo told the Pantherlair, "He was our middle linebacker on defense and was second on our team in tackles but he wants to be a running back in college."

Coach Guandolo went on to say, "He currently has offers from Pitt, Iowa and Auburn but he is still open and has no favorites right now."

Stinson attended the Miami Nike Camp this past weekend and Mike Farrell of Rivals.com reported, "Stinson is a rock. He is thick and he runs low to the ground. He could be a big tailback in some offenses or a fullback in others."
