Top three for Maryland linebacker

Bethesda, Md., Walt Whitman linebacker Pat Lazear is 6-foot-1, 235-pound athlete. He is being recruited primarily as a linebacker, but could get a few snaps at running back in college.

"I have ten offers right now," Lazear said. "Oklahoma, Nebraska, Alabama, Georgia, Marshall, Maryland, West Virginia, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, and one more team has offered."

He has ten offers now, but he could add a few more very soon.

"Florida, Notre Dame, and Ohio State are really showing a lot of interest right now. I am hearing from a lot of schools, but they are the main three right now."

Three is the number of programs Lazear has on top of his list right now.

"I really like Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma right now," said Lazear. "They are my top three."

Lazear knows one of the signees in Georgia's 2006 class.

"I know Akeem Hebron and he is great player. He signed with Georgia, so I know they sign great players there."

He is getting as many visits in now, so he will be able to make his decision by August.
