Clayborn getting ready for action

Saturday afternoon as the Hawkeyes put a wrap on spring drills, there was one very interested observer watching closely as the defensive line went through their paces. That young man checking things out was Iowa recruit Adrian Clayborn, who is getting pretty anxious to get started as part of the Iowa football program.

"It was great to see the team practice and see how the defensive line goes about their business," Clayborn said. "I am going to be up there in a couple of months to start working with the team and it got me real anxious to get there and be a part of it."

Clayborn said he is having his best semester academically and after graduation on May 26th, he plans to arrive in Iowa City on June 5th to start working out with the team. To get ready for his arrival, he has been working out on a regular basis.

"I have been lifting three to four times a week and running three to four times a week. But, I can't wait to get started with Coach Doyle and his program this summer."
